Hi there!
As our Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding D4L’s network and driving new collaborations across the digital health and research ecosystem.You will take ownership of identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with key stakeholders across academia, healthcare, pharma, and policy.
This role sits at the intersection of science, product, and business – ideal for someone who combines strong communication skills with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to building meaningful partnerships.
Your future role
Identify, engage, and develop relationships with key stakeholders across academia, healthcare, industry, and policy to generate new leads and collaboration opportunities
Drive business development activities end-to-end, including outreach, follow-ups, and conversion of leads into concrete partnerships
Represent D4L at conferences, fairs, and industry events, including preparing and delivering pitches, demos, and stakeholder conversations
Own the planning and execution of D4L’s presence at events (e.g., selecting conferences, submitting applications for talks/posters, organizing booths, demos, and satellite events)
Translate D4L’s products and technical capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions for different audiences
Work closely with Product, Science, and Strategy teams to align outreach efforts with D4L’s priorities and identify high-impact opportunities
What you need to succeed
A university degree in a relevant field such as healthcare, public health, life sciences, data science, business, or a comparable discipline
Experience in business development, partnerships, or a similar external-facing role, ideally in digital health, software, or a research-driven environment
Strong business mindset: ability to identify relevant stakeholders, understand their needs, and position D4L’s solutions effectively
Solid technical understanding and ability to quickly grasp and communicate complex concepts across research, product, and policy contexts
Proven experience in organising and representing organisations at conferences, events, or similar formats
Excellent communication and networking skills, with confidence in external-facing situations and public representation
Highly proactive, structured, and independent working style, with strong task and priority management
Fluency in English is required; German is a strong plus
