Regional Sales Director (M/F)
We are recruiting for our Mors Smitt – Wabtec Group site located in Sablé‑sur‑Sarthe - France, a Regional Sales Director (M/F).
Region covered: Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Africa and Latin America
Travel: Approximately 50% of the time (domestic & international)
Your mission:
You will be responsible for developing Mors Smitt’s revenue and commercial performance across a large international region. You will lead and support the regional sales team and actively contribute to growth, prospecting and customer retention strategies.
Your main responsibilities:
Sales leadership and commercial management
- Hold direct responsibility for key customers and act as Key Account Manager for Alstom.
- Identify market needs and business opportunities.
- Develop new customers and strengthen relationships with existing ones.
- Prepare, monitor and negotiate commercial offers.
- Structure, lead and support the regional sales team.
- Contribute to the regional business plan, budgets and sales plans
- Ensure alignment of commercial policies and proper representation of the “voice of the customer”
- Contribute to commercial events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, and sales actions.
Process management and coordination
- Act as the interface with production sites and pre‑sales teams
- Ensure a seamless customer journey in coordination with Front Office teams.
- Manage sales processes related to IRIS certifications.
- Prepare reporting documents: forecasts, sales plans, budgets, KPIs…
Profile
Education & experience
- Master’s degree in a technical or technical‑commercial field.
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the railway industry.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a sales team.
- Proven experience in B2B sales in a complex environment.
Required skills
- Excellent commercial skills and a strong natural business sense.
- Solid understanding of relay technologies and technical customers.
- Strong organizational skills, rigor and results‑oriented mindset.
- Fluency in French and English; Spanish or Italian is a plus.
- Proficiency with Office tools, ERP systems, and Salesforce CRM.
- High motivation and energy, with international mobility.
