Automotive Navigation Lead (EMEA) - Director Professional Services

What's the role?

The Director, Professional Services – Automotive Navigation (EMEA) leads HERE’s Automotive Navigation Professional Services capability across the region. This role has end‑to‑end accountability for delivery excellence, people leadership, and commercial impact for navigation‑centric automotive engagements, while working in close alignment with the ADAS Professional Services leadership.

 

Reporting to the EMEA Professional Services Lead, the role combines domain leadership, portfolio ownership, and business growth responsibility. You will act as a senior interface to OEMs, Tier‑1s, and strategic partners, shaping complex navigation and infotainment solutions, ensuring high‑quality execution, and positioning Professional Services as a strategic enabler of HERE’s automotive product portfolio.

 

This role requires a strong commercial and delivery mindset, with the ability to scale teams, drive consistency across engagements, and influence large, multi‑year automotive programs.

 

Domain Leadership & Delivery Accountability

• Lead the Automotive Navigation Professional Services team across EMEA, with full accountability for delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Own the end‑to‑end delivery portfolio for navigation‑centric automotive engagements, from pre‑engagement shaping through execution and transition into maintenance or support.
• Oversee solution design and implementation of production‑grade HERE‑based architectures, spanning navigation, infotainment (IVI), and integrated location services, while coordinating closely with ADAS PS leadership where domains intersect.
• Establish and enforce delivery governance, best practices, and quality standards across programs.
• Act as the senior escalation point for delivery, contractual, or technical risks and drive timely resolution.

 

Customer Engagement & Solution Leadership

• Serve as executive‑level point of contact for key automotive customers, supporting strategic discussions, escalations, and long‑term roadmap alignment.
• Guide solution definition by translating OEM and Tier‑1 requirements into scalable, automotive‑grade architectures aligned with HERE’s product strategy.
• Provide senior technical leadership in RFIs, RFQs, and complex deal pursuits, including solution strategy, estimation models, and delivery concepts.
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations, contractual scope, delivery feasibility, and long‑term customer success.

Business Development, Domain Leadership & Ecosystem

• Own the growth and strategic positioning of the Automotive Navigation Professional Services portfolio across EMEA, leveraging deep domain expertise and a strong industry network.
• Actively use an established network across OEMs, Tier‑1s, platform partners, and automotive ecosystems to identify early opportunities, influence solution direction, and shape engagements before formal RFQs.
• Serve as a trusted industry advisor to customers, building long‑term executive relationships that extend beyond individual projects.
• Drive business incubation through early‑stage engagement models such as PoCs, pilots, and co‑innovation initiatives that de‑risk platform decisions and expand HERE’s footprint.
• Position Professional Services as a strategic partner in automotive platform adoption, not just an execution arm, enabling sustained product pull‑through and multi‑year engagements.
• Collaborate closely with Automotive Sales leadership to convert domain insight and customer relationships into tangible pipeline and revenue outcomes.
• Own the commercial success of the Automotive Navigation PS portfolio in EMEA, including revenue growth, margin awareness, and services attach.
• Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects, working closely with Automotive Sales leadership.
• Position Professional Services as a strategic lever for product adoption and long‑term platform engagement, not just delivery execution.
• Drive service‑led selling through PoCs, pilots, and incubation engagements that expand footprint and influence product pull‑through.
• Shape and influence win strategies for major automotive RFQs and platform decisions.

People Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead, develop, and scale a high‑performing team of Automotive Professional Services consultants.
• Drive resource strategy, workforce planning, and capability development aligned with current and future automotive demands.
• Build strong leadership depth within the team and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management & Organizational Alignment

• Collaborate closely with Automotive Product, Solution Engineering, Sales, and Delivery Excellence teams to ensure aligned execution.
• Ensure effective cross‑regional coordination across EMEA and alignment with global Professional Services strategy.
• Own smooth transitions from project delivery into long‑term maintenance, support, or managed service models.

Innovation, Portfolio Evolution & Market Insight

• Identify reusable delivery assets, patterns, and reference architectures across navigation programs.
• Stay current on automotive trends such as SDV, IVI evolution, AI‑enabled navigation, and platform convergence, translating them into service offerings.
• Contribute to the evolution of HERE’s Automotive Professional Services portfolio, delivery models, and go‑to‑market approach.

Who are you?

• 12+ years of experience in the automotive domain, with deep exposure to navigation systems, infotainment platforms, and automotive software delivery.
• Proven experience leading customer‑facing teams and large, complex automotive programs at scale.
• Strong background in solution architecture, system integration, and software development across embedded and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated success in pre‑sales leadership, RFQ shaping, and deal influence for large automotive engagements.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of growing services revenue and expanding customer engagements.
• Deep understanding of automotive development processes and standards (e.g., ASPICE, OEM program governance).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across customers, partners, and internal executive teams.
• Experience driving AI‑enabled automotive solutions, including the application of AI‑assisted services or agent‑based approaches to enhance navigation workflows, data pipelines, or customer delivery models.
