Job Description

Why Rolls-Royce

We are seeking a Design Integrator (f/m/d) – Product Design (Combustion and Turbines Systems) to join our Product Design team in Dahlewitz (near Berlin), with a focus on Combustion and Turbines Systems. In this highly collaborative and technically dynamic role, you will be accountable for the integration and delivery of subsystem designs using Systems Engineering principles and best practices such as APQP, MBSE, Robust Design, and FMEA.

You will act as the key link between technical stakeholders, ensuring sub-system design integrity, requirement alignment, and seamless integration across multi-disciplinary teams and technical domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of subsystem design and integration through APQP.

  • Apply Systems Engineering approaches including Robust Design, FMEA, and MBSE to optimize product solutions.

  • Drive the transition to model-based reusable product lines at all system levels.

  • Develop and validate subsystem requirements, and flow down to component and functional teams.

  • Ensure subsystem designs meet technical and performance criteria, in coordination with Technical and Product System Leads.

  • Generate sub-system concepts aligned with strategic and product objectives.

  • Own and manage functional and physical interfaces.

  • Coordinate work across extended, multi-disciplinary teams—locally and globally.

  • Facilitate technical integration at Product System, Sub-system, and Commodity Function levels.

  • Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and process development.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

  • Domain expertise in Combustion or Turbine systems.

  • Strong grasp of design engineering processes.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data evaluation and statistical tools.

  • Proficient communicator with the ability to present confidently and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and operating in complex engineering environments.

  • Fluency in English.
