Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on electronics design, PCB development, and EPLAN-based engineering. In this role, you will lead the design of board-level circuits and electrical systems, drive engineering standards, and support innovation in automated machine technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for reverse vending machines

  • Develop and maintain schematics and circuit designs

  • Create and release electrical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs

  • Design and specify components such as sensors, motor controls, and embedded electronics

  • Use EPLAN and other CAD tools to develop and manage electrical designs

  • Establish and improve engineering standards, design processes, and documentation practices

  • Support manufacturing and supply chain with component selection, validation, and design updates

  • Drive DFM, DFMEA, and design validation activities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and production issues

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred; Mechatronics acceptable)

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical/electronics design

  • Strong experience with EPLAN and basic knowledge in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, EAGLE)

  • Solid background in circuit design and board-level development

  • Experience working with sensors, motor control, and embedded systems is a plus

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Familiarity with structured engineering methods (DFMEA, DFM, etc.)

  • Fluent in German and English
