Your mission that drives sustainability in logistics
Want to keep transport operations running smoothly—even when plans change? At CargoBeamer, you will dispatch trucks to and from intermodal terminals and make sure trailers arrive on time. You plan daily transports, monitor execution in real time, resolve disruptions fast, and help reduce empty miles on the first and last mile.Your Responsibilities:
- Dispatch truck transports to and from intermodal terminals (first/last mile).
- Build, maintain, and execute the daily transport plan, including prioritization in peak situations.
- Actively reduce empty runs through smart routing and capacity planning.
- Manage disruptions: delays, cancellations, deviations—and find workable alternatives quickly.
- Communicate with drivers and subcontracted carriers; provide clear instructions and status updates.
- Monitor trucks in real time (tracking/status) and act proactively when issues arise.
- Support onboarding and operational integration of new subcontractors.
- Handle documentation and billing support: collect proof of delivery, check completeness, create/send credit notes to carriers.
- Support quality management: analyze delay root causes, propose improvements, and evaluate subcontractor performance.
- Coordinate trailer management topics (repairs/maintenance/inspection) with relevant partners.
- Support damage claims: initiate, document, respond, and follow up.
Your Background & Skills
Required
- Experience in logistics, transport dispatch, trucking operations, or a similar operational role.
- Strong ability to work under time pressure, manage changing priorities, and stay organized.
- Clear, solution-oriented communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- German: good working proficiency
- English: very good proficiency
Nice to have
- Vocational training or degree in logistics/business (helpful, not mandatory).
- Experience in customer service/customer care in a logistics environment.
- Commercial mindset (documents, proofs, credit notes).
- Italian is a plus.
