YOUR ROLE

As a Business Pursuit Manager joining our team, your main focus will  be on developing critical new partnerships across the Aerospace and Defense Industry in Europe.  Working alongside our global and European Sales team and reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for generating business opportunities which ultimately lead to new RFQs and business awards.  This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious front-line Sales professionals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Aero/Defense Business Pursuit Manager, includes:

  • Forming a 5 year strategic plan for growth and development to support Regional and Global objectives
  • Identifying, evaluating, and creating new partnerships and business opportunities
  • Negotiating and finalizing new business and partnerships agreements to support business expansion and market penetration
  • Understanding of customer requirements  and oversight of cross-functional teams to assure customer expectations and relationship is kept in high regard
  • Providing guidance and support during the quote, development, and execution phases to ensure pursuit commitments are achieved
  • Developing and achieving growth targets and specific customer pursuit strategies aligned to business development objectives
  • Effectively allocating resources to numerous simultaneous development initiatives while prioritizing projects and activities based on their profitable growth potential

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Established Industry connections at major Aerospace and/or Defense manufactures
  • Industry knowledge and understanding of major Aerospace and/or Defense manufactures
  • Minimum 5 years’ Sales experience in the relevant industry
  • Wiring harness application preferred but not mandatory
  • Self-starter, ability to manage multiple activities effectively with minimal oversight
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Analytical capability and business acumen
  • High energy, a passion for success, the strong desire to win new contracts
  • Hunter mentality
  • Willingness to travel ~20%
  • Fluent in English and ideally Spanish
