Serve as a Playwright expert able to extend test coverage and mentor new team members
Use your expertise to optimize and support our framework to scale our automation capability to support our delivery goals
Enable scaled execution of test automation through governance and extending test coverage to meet business priorities
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using the Playwright framework
Collaborate with Validation and Development teams to ensure automation aligns with validation best practice and timelines
Provide technical expertise to Test automation team members in framework and test scripting best practices as well as troubleshooting and providing solutions
Implement and enforce good coding standards
Build and support CI/CD pipelines to support automated test execution
Integrate API-level testing into the Playwright framework to ensure comprehensive coverage and faster feedback loops beyond the UI
Monitor and analyze automated test results to identify flakiness, performance bottlenecks, or regressions in the RTSM system
Expert in Playwright test automation and test automation best practice
Proven experience implementing the Page Object Model or similar design patterns to ensure script maintainability and scalability
Working knowledge of GCP Guidance such as 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11
Working knowledge of software development cycle (SDLC)
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in English with team members of varying roles and skill levels
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving/analysis skills
Previous experience with RTSM or life sciences industry
Familiarity with the conduct of clinical trials
Expertise in Microsoft/Google products for documentation and reporting
Exposure to AWS and knowledge of Docker for local and CI/CD executions

The Role
Veeva Systems, a leader in cloud-based solutions for the global life sciences industry, is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our RTSM (Randomization and Trial Supply Management) team. This role will optimize and support the test automation capability using Playwright to deliver robust and repeatable test validation. To excel you will require strong technical skills, excellent communication as well as ensuring governance and control. As a member of the RTSM team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support customer RTSM implementations in a fast-paced environment. You will use your expertise to take ownership of the automated validation process for assigned projects and play an important role in building and maintaining product excellence for the RTSM system. This is a remote role with Veeva’s Work Anywhere policy allowing you to work in an office or at home on any given day.
