We are currently hiring a Junior/Intermediate Accountant (early‑career level) to join and grow within the accounting team at our Ubisoft Studio in Bucharest. This role is ideal for finance professionals at the beginning of their accounting careers who are looking for hands‑on exposure, structured learning, and the opportunity to develop within a well‑established, international organization with clear processes and collaborative teams.
The Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and building a strong foundation in month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires a learning mindset, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, solid basic to intermediate knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do
Responsibilities:
- Record daily accounting transactions, regarding bank statements, expense reports and travel forms;
- Checking the travel expenses documents, provide information and guidance to all the employees regarding the preparation of travel expense reports;
- Preparation of weekly payments and preparation of bank forms when needed;
- Maintain and update accounting records in line with legal requirements and internal procedures;
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities;
- Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (banks, advances, treasury accounts);
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal procedures, with guidance and mentoring from more senior team members.
Systems & Tools
- Use ERP system (e.g. PeopleSoft Oracle) to process transactions, extract data and generate reports.
- Promote automation and digitalization initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, gradually increasing ownership as experience grows.
