About the roleAs a Field Service Technician, you will provide technical assistance and hands-on training to installers on the installation and commissioning of our cutting-edge products. You’ll work closely with end-users, troubleshooting advanced issues, and performing repairs on legacy systems, particularly focusing on energy storage. This role requires strong organisational skills, autonomy, and the ability to thrive in diverse working environments. You will be part of the Western Europe team and will be reporting to a team leader based in the Netherlands. A Service Coordinator will handle your planning and scheduling with a minimum of two weeks' lead time. You must reside in the Netherlands to perform this role. 

What you will be doing

  • Perform on-site repairs and installation support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, primarily related to Enphase Storage and Energy Management Systems. Carry out repairs, component replacements, and hands-on installation support, including battery storage systems, at residential and commercial sites.
  • Install, test and commission systems: Perform installations in accordance with NEN 1010, applicable fire safety standards, and manufacturer specifications. Test and commissionsystems using standardized procedures, verifying correct operation  before handover.
  • Manage maintenance and repairs: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to optimize system performance and long-term reliability.
  • Travel for service calls: Travel regularly to customer locations using an Enphase-provided, fully equipped service vehicle, including short-term travel of up to 3–5 days at a time. Scheduling is coordinated by the Service Coordinator.
  • Provide advanced technical support: Support technicians with fault diagnosis and provide on-site expertise for complex or high impact issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Customer Support, Field Applications Engineers and other technicians to resolve complex issues and deliver optimal customer solutions.
  • Document service activities: Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, maintenance actions, and commissioning results in internal systems.
  • Ensure safety and compliance: Follow local electrical codes and safety standards wand Enphase’s quality protocols,  reporting any deviations or safety incidents promptly
  • Stay current: Continuously develop knowledge of solar, storage, and energy management technologies.

What you bring

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in solar PV, energy storage, inverters, and preferably EV chargers.
  • Education: Relevant electrical education (e.g. MBO level 3 or 4 in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Certification: Certified or willing to be certified to install electrical storage systems, with compliance to NEN 1010 and NEN 3140 or equivalent.
    Technical skills: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals, with astrong focus on safety, quality,  compliance.
  • Language skills: Fluency in local language and business level in English.
  • Organizational skills: Strong time management, self-organization, and accurate, punctual reporting.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication with customers, installers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support fellow technicians and the wider service team.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate customer and installer needs.
  • Professionalism: Act as a trusted Enphase ambassador in all customer-facing interactions.
