Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Development Manager to join our team in Italy. The successful candidate will lead and oversee the complete management of technical due diligence processes for real estate assets and portfolios, supporting strategic decisions related to acquisitions, disposals, financing and development.

The Development Manager will act as the key reference point between internal teams, clients and external consultants, ensuring accurate, timely and comprehensive technical analyses that minimise risks and maximise the quality of information underpinning investment decisions. The role also contributes to the definition of capital expenditure plans and the standardisation of due diligence processes.

 Your Activities:

  • Coordinate, manage and supervise technical due diligence processes for acquisition, disposal, financing and real estate development transactions, ensuring all aspects of the analysis are assessed thoroughly and accurately
  • Collect, review and evaluate strategic technical documentation relevant to each analysis
  • Verify urban planning, building and cadastral compliance of properties
  • Identify and assess potential technical, systems-related, environmental and operational risks, proposing mitigation strategies
  • Analyse maintenance costs and plan necessary intervention works
  • Prepare comprehensive technical due diligence reports, in coordination with other internal departments
  • Ensure deadlines are met and maintain clear, fluid communication among all parties involved
  • Coordinate and supervise external consultants (engineers, architects, technical firms, environmental engineers) and integrate their findings and quality standards into final reports
  • Prepare executive summaries for decision-makers, highlighting risks, opportunities and operational priorities
  • Develop and implement standardised due diligence processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
