About the Role

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers and partners with the objective of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals. In this role, you will manage a territory covering Nordic countries, build a robust pipeline, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver compelling solutions that address customer needs. If you're a driven, relationship-focused sales professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record in the Nordics, this role is for you.

Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do

  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan to meet or exceed quota, including the identification and prioritization of opportunities for assigned existing or potential customers and partners; develop and communicate accurate sales forecasting on a real-time basis.
  • Proactively initiate contact with potential customers, customers, and partners on a regular basis to develop, maintain, and expand business relationships; collaborate with all available company resources to develop and maintain pipeline.
  • Partner with sales solution engineers in the development of software demonstrations for customers or potential customers; actively contribute and participate in software demonstrations and trade shows.
  • Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, meaningful conversations, customer visits, and sales calls; take proactive measures to streamline and continuously improve account management and the sales process.
  • Understand best practices, market trends, and customer business and technical needs; pursue opportunities for company expansion and integration, and assist with determining the viability of RFP requests and influencing appropriate response development.
  • Develop the closing plan for accounts; engage internal leadership as necessary to lead the negotiation and contracting process to ensure deals are closed on time and as forecasted.

Role Essentials — What You Bring

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience, with demonstrated experience as an Account Manager covering Nordic countries and proven knowledge of sales in a relevant technology solution or assigned industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office, with experience using opportunity management, account planning tools, and CRM platforms to manage and advance sales opportunities.
  • Strong ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others, with good oral and written communication skills that reflect a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
  • Highly organized and experienced at multi-tasking, with strong collaboration skills applied successfully within a team and across other areas, and good negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage work independently to completion, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with up to 50% travel time required.

What We'd Like to See — Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding quota in a technology sales environment, with experience managing accounts across Nordic territories.
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive sales plans, accurately forecast opportunities in real time, and proactively identify and prioritize pipeline development opportunities.
  • Experience partnering with sales solution engineers to develop and deliver compelling software demonstrations that address specific customer business and technical needs.
  • Strong understanding of best practices and market trends in enterprise software, with the ability to identify opportunities for company expansion and effectively respond to RFP requests.
  • Experience attending and actively contributing to trade shows and industry events, with a strong network and the ability to engage customers and potential customers in company marketing efforts.
