Job description

Bloomberg News is seeking a contract worker for a period of 12 months to edit and translate stories for our German-language service.
The ideal candidate has a track record of producing compelling and concise copy under tight deadlines on our core coverage areas, including finance, politics, companies, technology and markets.
In this role based in our Berlin or Frankfurt office, you will work closely with our German-language editorial team, which focuses on producing stories for the Bloomberg Terminal, our daily newsletter and weekend features.
We'll trust you to:
- Have strong editing and translation skills in German to produce clean and compelling copy
- The ability to meet deadlines in a real-time environment without compromising accuracy
- Experience working with content management systems as well as AI tools
You'll need to have:
- Fluency in both German and English
- An unerring commitment to accuracy
- Strong news judgement
- Experience editing and translating copy in German
We'd like to see:
- A collaborative approach to work closely with reporters and editors across Bloomberg's newsroom
